Wednesday August 5 - Take Off In Less Than 24 Hours

What a great day today. The weather was nice, work was cool, had a fun lunch with some co-workers, energetic workout and jog after work, met a close friend who's here from Miami and starting my trip in less than 24 hours.

Am I ready? Uhm no, haven't even started packing yet. However, I did get one thing accomplished that I was meaning to do. I've been hearing that there are a lot of crooks in France. Pick pocketers who prey on visitors. How will I combat these entrepreneurs? Well with a trusty undercover money belt of course.

I picked this up today at the MEC. Mountain Equipment Co-Op for those who don't know. I'm not a member but I'm fortunate to know someone who is. (Thanks Nathalie! You have great skin too! =D )

Check out the currency I'll be carrying, clockwise from the top right: Euro, Yen, Hong Kong dollar and Krona.

So Monsieur French pick pocketer, please don't rob me. I'm just a poor squirrel trying to make it in this hard world. Merci.
